Abstract
Evidence indicates that social determinants of health (SDOH) worsen health outcomes and elevate the risk of surgical complications. Identifying SDOH as contributing risk factors and addressing associated barriers utilizing a screening tool is imperative to ensuring equitable and quality healthcare.
