Abstract
Most publishers these days publish articles in an "ahead of print" state in which they can be read before being assigned to an issue. Unfortunately for users accessing through aggregator database vendors like EBSCO and ProQuest, articles don’t reach the databases until they’re in an issue. Our research found that for some publications, this delay in issue assignment could exceed a year. What can we do about it?
