Abstract

This project presents my personal environmental philosophy rooted in relational value, empathy for non‑human life, and place‑based identity. It argues that nature is not a passive backdrop but a network of relationships that shape personal meaning, memory, and community identity. Drawing from environmental theorists, I explain that environmental ethics must account for emotional, cultural, and ecological connections. I apply my philosophy to an environmental issue and explain how it disrupts human and nature relationships.
