Abstract
Clinical psychology currently dominates the sphere of mental health through pathology-based practices that often lack a holistic understanding of the individual. Alternatively, self-help culture promotes potentially reductive frameworks of “toxic positivity.” This study proposes a third option: The Self-Psychologist Model, a psycho-educational, digitally facilitated approach grounded in Social Psychology. This model evaluates how social psychological literacy enhances well-being by integrating Self-Determination Theory, Psychodrama, and the Self-as-an-Organization metaphor. It is hypothesized that participants in the intervention group will show significantly higher scores on subjective vitality, need crafting, and self-compassion at post-test than the waitlist-control group. A sample of MBA students will complete a 3-week course on the Circle platform, comprising video modules, reflection exercises, and interactions with a custom AI chatbot.
