Abstract

In lieu of an abstract, here is the chapter's 1st paragraph:

When our institution switched our accrediting body to Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), there were great things happening at the time in terms of curriculum and assessment. We had established and grown school– university partnerships, updated curricula across all programs, and aligned all initial certification programs so candidates had similar experiences, just to name a few. This was no small feat in that we are a small, private institution with limited resources, including faculty. Although warranted, none of those updates were part of a formal, documented quality assurance system. Of course, faculty communicated regularly with one another as well as our stakeholders, which is what brought about most of the changes made. However, a consistent system for this continuous improvement was lacking.
