Abstract
The effect of specific types of assignments on homework completion will be investigated. The specific types of homework assignments will include active learning, responding in different ways, real life experiences, and varying complexity. Ten seventh grade students will take part in this study. The subjects will be selected based on the criteria that they are average achieving students with a history of not completing homework assignments. Student interviews, surveys for each type of homework assignment, grades, and homework completion records will be used to study the impact these assignments have on homework completion.
