Abstract
Abstract: Coliseum Clash is a Greco‑Roman–themed, dice‑throwing board game. As the Art & Setting Team, our role was to integrate the mechanics developed by the Rules Team with our own visual and thematic direction. The board was designed to resemble the Roman Colosseum, while each action card was paired with a Greek god whose attributes best matched the card’s effect. Our choice to blend Greek and Roman motifs was deliberate: although many players may not know the Roman counterparts of Greek deities, the Colosseum is widely recognizable. We also intentionally used the Anglicized spelling “Coliseum” rather than the historically accurate “Colosseum” to maintain accessibility and thematic cohesion.
