Abstract

For my first keystone, I worked with the local nonprofit group, Penfield Education Foundation (PEF), in advertising for their annual 5K fundraiser. The PEF works to fundraise so they can distribute scholarships and grants to teachers in the Penfield School District. Their goal is to enhance the educational experiences of all students in the district. Their annual 5K fundraiser is the main fundraiser they host, so I was asked to help with advertising it on social media. I created a plethora of posts that were distributed on their Instagram and Facebook. The posts aimed to highlight the importance of the PEF and their work, and explain how registering for the 5K directly supports the good work of the nonprofit.
