Abstract
I plan to explore the effects of Jack Bean Urease, a model form of L-DOS47 that does not require specific targeting in cell culture assays, on pancreatic cancer cell growth and viability. Additionally, I aim to investigate the combined use of KRAS inhibitors and Jack Bean Urease to assess their potential synergistic effects on pancreatic cancer cells. My central hypothesis is that by neutralizing tumor acidity through urease activity, the microenvironment will become less hostile to treatment, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of KRAS inhibition and ultimately reducing tumor growth in pancreatic cancer models.
