Abstract

This semester, I am participating in an independent study in which I advocated for House Bill 293 Preventing Minors from Accessing Obscenity on Certain Electronic Devices with Internet Access in New Hampshire’s state legislature. My research will explain the step-by-step process of getting involved in local government and participating in civic engagement, using my advocacy as a case study. The goal of this project is to influence my fellow peers, professors, and attendees at the showcase to engage in democracy and understand the importance of their voice.
