Abstract
Emma Muchow and I are working on writing, illustrating and publishing a children’s bilingual poetry book. I have wrote the children’s poems in both Spanish and English. The children’s book is about a little pig named Mia who learns live lessons through adventures. There is 5 poems total. We are looking into recording an audiobook in which I would play viola in the background. This would be the final step of the book if we were to expand to three credits which is lively as we are making this a huge professional project and have already spent well over 45 hours each. Emma has illustrated the book and formulated the book digitally. Together we have met and reached out to multiple faculty and experts in publishing and networking and plan on publishing this book through Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. We also plan to promote our book through media like newsletters and other press involvement, live readings at schools and bookstores, social media, word of mouth and other marketing techniques. Our plan is to have printed copies available for the Fall 2024 showcase. This showcase will be digital and explaining our literary and planning process. The next showcase will be about how we actually did it. Yes we have already contacted many people who have given us opportunities for these large ideas.
