Abstract
In lieu of an abstract, below is the essay's first paragraph.
"Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the greatest leaders of the civil rights movement during the 1960s. Dr. King’s rhetoric gave African Americans hope and pride in the color of their skin and that one day freedom and equality would envelop their lives. On April 3, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr., gave his final speech in the Mason Temple in Memphis, Tennessee. King was in Memphis to speak about unity, economic actions, boycotts, and nonviolent protest. At the end of this speech he spoke about an early death that could be approaching after several death threats throughout his career."
