Soaring: A Journal of Undergraduate Research
Volume 2024 (2024) Fall
Editors' Note
We are excited to present the Fall 2024 edition of Soaring: A Journal of Undergraduate Research.
For this issue, we made several updates to make Soaring more inclusive and student-focused. We revamped the review process to give honors students a greater role in evaluating and selecting submissions, drawing on their editing and reviewing experience. We also removed the “First Year Research” and “Undergraduate Research” categories to encourage submissions from a broader range of courses and subjects. Finally, we expanded Soaring beyond a traditional journal by introducing multimedia submissions and audio and video interviews that spotlight student scholarship.
This issue aims to showcase academic research by St. John Fisher University students, amplify the personal and professional relationships they have to their scholarship, and encourage them to take pride in their accomplishments.
We extend sincere thanks to the editorial board for their thorough reviews, and our faculty advisor Professor Stephen West, for his support. Congratulations to all the authors featured in this year’s edition. We hope you enjoy this issue of Soaring and feel inspired by these exceptional works!
Sincerely,
The Editorial Team
