Tamaron McKnight addresses the contemporary popularization of Black culture in White America and challenges the reader to be aware of the difference between cultural appreciation and appropriation. Brandon Schlemmer argues for the urgent need for non-binary and gender expansive role models on television today. And, Alex Voglewede asserts that human rights violations are perpetuated against Dalits in India because of their socially ingrained relegation to the lowest levels of the caste system.
