Abstract
This project will focus on lobbying against the proposed extension of alcohol sales during Major League Baseball games with a specific emphasis on the potential public safety risks, including an increase in drunk driving incidents. With MLB’s shift toward shorter game durations, the proposal to extend alcohol service may encourage hurried drinking habits during games, potentially leading to more impaired drivers on the roads after the games.
